Who we are
William Chimney Sweep LLC has been working on Sacramento-area chimneys since 1985 — 40+ years and more than 3500+ chimneys cleaned. We are based at 6130A Fair Oaks Blvd in Carmichael and we work across 18 cities within about 30 miles of that address.
The work is deliberately narrow. We sweep, inspect, repair and cap chimneys, and we service fireplaces and wood stoves. We do not sell you a roof, a furnace or a maintenance plan on the side. One trade, done properly, for four decades.
How we work
Drop cloths go down before anything else does, and a HEPA vacuum runs under negative pressure for the whole visit — that is what keeps soot out of your living room rather than redistributed around it. Every job ends with a written condition report and photographs of what we found, so you are looking at your own flue rather than taking our word for it.
Estimates are free and carry no obligation. Pricing is agreed with you before work starts, so the invoice holds no surprises. We answer the phone 24 hours a day, seven days a week — a flue fire, smoke pushing back into the room or a carbon monoxide alarm is not something that should wait until Monday.

What we do
- Chimney Sweep — A full soot and creosote removal from the firebox through the smoke chamber, flue and cap — with drop cloths down and a HEPA vacuum running the whole time.
- Chimney Inspection — CSIA Level 1, 2 and 3 inspections — including the Level 2 with video scan that escrow, insurers and home sales require.
- Chimney Cap Installation — Stainless steel caps and spark arrestors, sized and fitted to your flue — the cheapest part of a chimney and the one that prevents the most expensive damage.
- Chimney Repair & Masonry — Crown sealing, tuckpointing, flashing, firebox rebuilds and waterproofing — the structural work that keeps water out of the chimney and out of the wall behind it.
- Fireplace & Wood Stove Service — Gas log sets, wood stoves and fireplace inserts — cleaned, inspected, adjusted and repaired, including the connector pipe most sweeps skip.
